Wedding at Lord Mayor's Parlour, Nottingham

Fiona and Adam from Mark Davis on Vimeo.

The amazing wedding of Fiona and Adam took place at the Lord Mayor's Parlour in Nottingham's Council House on Halloween.  The theme was neo-Victorian Steam Punk which saw a variety or differing dress themes, adding character and style to the day!  A wedding breakfast at a local Nepalese restaurant provided additional vibrancy to the day before an evening function in Westgate, Nottingham.  Fiona and Adam are jive dance enthusiasts which meant the first dance was highly professional and carried off with a degree of aplomb much to the delight of the guests.  A memorable occasion for all!

Registry Office Wedding at Salisbury, Wiltshire Rebecca and Dale The historic town of Salisbury is full of wonderful architecture and people and is a great setting for marriages.  Dale, his best man and his children met in one of the many nearby pubs before walking to the Registry office and mingling with the guests as they arrived.  Rebecca soon arrived and after a few greetings proceeded to meet the groom inside the grand registry office building.  Ceremony over, everybody moved to the grassed area for a few photographs before making the trip to Upton Lovell for the reception.  The sun duly made an appearance in time for more photographs and the start of a brilliant barbecue for the guests.

If you like these photographs then please 'like' and feel free to share on social media.  Getting married in Salisbury and need a photographer?  Then give me a call.

Wedding at the Guildhall Conwy Wedding at Guildhall, Conwy, WalesVideo of stills images of a military wedding at Conwy, North Wales The North Wales coast was the venue for this wonderfully relaxed wedding between Hannah and Rob.  A beautiful sunny morning in Conwy with plenty of people going about their business in the shadow of the castle awaited the arrival of the bride and groom to the historic Guildhall in the centre of the town.  The bride's hair completed in Menai Bridge, it was a short trip back home for final preparations before setting off for the wedding.  A pre-arranged booking for photographs in the rugged castle made for a stunning backdrop with plenty of photo opportunities, (once some of the tourists had finished stepping in and taking their impromptu photos of Hannah and her wedding party!), and the chance to take in the views.  Group portraits complete, it was then back to the reception for a hog roast within a converted barn setting and the chance to admire the table full of home-made cakes provided by the bride's mother and then time for guest to mingle before the party got going.  Great people, great venues and the weather didn't even rain!

Wedding at Fawsley Hall, Daventry, Northamptonshire

Wedding at Fawsley Hall, NorthamptonshireVideo of stills images from a gorgeous marriage at a 12th century church, Northamptonshire The magnificent venue of Fawsley Hall was a perfect setting for the marriage of Julia and Richard - the tudor mansion is surrounded by 2000 acres of gardens and parkland and has hosted many monarchs down the ages. The weather was a little unkind but it couldn't possibly have dampened the spirit of this wonderful occasion.  The civil wedding was followed by a blessing in the nearby 13th century Church of St Mary the Virgin and then a reception back at Falsely Hall. The blustery, cold weather meant most of the photographs took place indoors although a respite later in the day meant a few formal photographs of the newly wed couple were achieved in the gardens.  Julia's cousin from the USA, Brian, flew in to give her away and Richard's daughter, Holly, was a beautiful flower girl alongside Amber, daughter of the the Groom's brother Jonathan who in turn, was the Best Man.

Wedding at Leez Priory, Essex Summer Wedding at Leez Priory, EssexBeautiful wedding ceremony at the listed castle of Leez Priory The gloriously English venue of Leez Priory, a Tudor mansion set in Essex, was the host of a beautiful wedding between Jack and Sarah who had travelled back from Geneva to be married.  The weather was a little grey and rainy to start with but as the day progressed, the sun greeted the bridal party with all the glory of a traditional English early Spring period.

Sarah and her bridesmaids all looked absolutely stunning and having had time to enjoy the bridal preparations with the odd glass of champagne, any evidence of nerves soon gave way allowing them all to thoroughly enjoy the day.

After the ceremony, guests were able to enjoy the splendid backdrop of the Tudor building while canapés were served at the inner lawned courtyard.  The Wedding Breakfast was set in a characterful outbuilding; fantastic food and humorous speeches by Jack's three best men completed the formal part of the day before the serious partying began.

This day also marked the second birthday of Sarah and Jack's son, Harry - so of course, much fuss was duly given by all to the little man!

What an honour it was to be asked to be the photographer; a special day indeed!

Hatton Court Hotel Wedding at Gloucester The first wedding of 2015 for me was at Hatton Court Hotel in Gloucester where my niece, Jenny, asked if I'd like to take the bridal preparation and wedding breakfast photographs at her wedding - Tom already had another photographer, a family friend, lined up to do the ceremony photographs.

The weather was sunny although cold but didn't detract from a great, friendly and lively wedding. Plenty of family and friends gathered to celebrate the day which ended itself as a great opportunity for some lovely pictures of the bride and groom.
